Summer Internship Program

The Summer Internship Program offers Jewish undergraduate students, who will be juniors and seniors, the opportunity to work at paid internships for ten weeks in Cleveland. Interns may choose from a variety of local businesses and non-profits, in a selection of fields, including (but not limited to) engineering, IT, social work, marketing/PR/advertising, business development, accounting, and community relations and planning.

Interns work five (5) days per week at their internship placements and attend programming with Hillel on a few select days over the course of the summer. These activities include professional development seminars, exclusive excursions all around Cleveland, and opportunities to interact with guest speakers and community professionals. Interns are also able to participate in a variety of social programs - such as free movies, concerts, and restaurant nights.

The Summer Internship Program is made possible through support from Let My People Know Cleveland, a project of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, the Mt. Sinai Foundation, and various other funders.

Housing and transportation are not provided by Hillel.

DATES FOR SUMMER 2013 ARE JUNE 3 - AUGUST 9, 2013.
The deadline for applications is February 15, 2013. An interview is required.

NEW FOR SUMMER 2013:
Once students are interviewed, and eligibility for the program is determined, students will have access to a general job database. Students will have the ability to “shop" for their top internship choices. Resumes will be forwarded to employers based on these choices. Employers make the ultimate hiring decision. Once employment has been secured, the student will be considered an official participant of the Hillel Summer Internship Program.
