The Cleveland Hillel Foundation Summer Internship Program, currently in its second summer, is giving undergraduates an opportunity to experience Cleveland in a different way. The program offers students paid positions at various Cleveland-area businesses and organizations, while also teaching them about their home town. After applying for the internship program, students complete the interview process, and those selected are offered a summer job with a Cleveland company. Interns spend Monday through Thursday at their respective businesses or organizations. On Fridays the student group explores Cleveland through various seminars that range from touring the West Side to participating in volunteering activities around the city, as well as professional development programs that include guest speakers. The program is sponsored by grants from The Cleveland Foundation and Let My People Know, a project of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland’s Centennial Initiative for Strengthening and Growing Jewish Cleveland.
