Ensuring the Jewish future by maximizing Jewish identity and community on college campuses in Northeast Ohio

Hillel’s over-arching goal is to create informed, celebratory and satisfying Jewish communities for large numbers of Jewish students in the Cleveland area, deepening Jewish identity through social, intellectual, and spiritual participation and by offering diversified opportunities for engagement and understanding.

Hillel seeks to develop a broad range of campus and community-based programmatic and service oriented opportunities tailored to students’ special interests and needs, to promote student involvement in existing community-based services and to act as the convener of community leaders in the development of new student-focused initiatives.

Hillel supports Jewish interests on campus and acts as the Jewish community’s representative in that environment. Central to Hillel’s goal is the development of young men and women who will make the transition from campus to community as positive identified Jews with a stake in the Jewish future.
