JCLE/Connection to the Jewish Community

Cleveland Hillel connects students with their peers in the community for social and cultural programming. The JCLE initiative is reaching hundreds of young people in their 20's connecting them to one another and the larger Cleveland community.

JCLE, a project of the Cleveland Hillel Foundation, and in collaboration with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's PresenTense Fellowship, is a group that createsclassy, adventurous, and uniquely exciting and engaging events for Jewish 20somethings living in Cleveland.

Since rolling out the program in late August, we've had tremendous success with our programs. JCLE looks to continue the enthusiasm by having at least 1 event per month, purely social. Past events include Dinner, Drinks, and Jazz at Sergio's Sarava, an outing to the Rascal Flatts concert at Blossom Music Center, and JCLE Tours the City Party Buses which travelled all across Cleveland's 4 most popular neighborhoods.

JCLE provides social events that range from potential movie nights, dinner nights, concerts and happy hours, to lively parties and singles events. We focus on all types of personalities and interests, whether you're looking to meet someone special, network, learn, have coffee with light discussion, discover new significance in your life, or party on the rooftops. We want you to live your very best Jewish life in Cleveland!

Our upcoming events include volunteer opportunities called StandUp Sundays where Jewish 20somethings can give back to their community and socialize in a different way, and where young Jews can also feel a part of their overall community. At JCLE, we enjoy connecting graduate students with the larger Jewish and general community. Overall, JCLE's ultimate goal is Jewish continuity, and the future leadership of Jewish Cleveland.
