About Us
Cleveland Hillel Foundation consist of two components: Cleveland Metro Hillel and Oberlin Hillel. Created in 1947 to serve Jewish students at Case Institute of Technology & Western Reserve University, Cleveland Hillel Foundation now provides resources to students at Case Western Reserve University, Oberlin College, Cleveland State University, Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland Institute of Music, John Carroll University, Ursuline College, Siegal College, Notre Dame College, Cuyahoga Community College, and Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. We serve the approximately 2,500 Jewish undergraduate and graduate students attending these colleges and universities as well as the entire campus community.
We are committed to working with students to support a pluralistic Jewish student community that offers more options for them to experience and explore their Jewish identities. Using dynamic and creative programs, we are engaging students who have little connection to their heritage. Through leadership training and opportunities, we enrich the students so that they can enrich the world.
Cleveland Hillel Foundation provides students with a wide variety of cultural, religious, educational and social programs. Through these programs, students also have the opportunity to be involved in community service projects, sports and the arts, and learn more about their connection to Israel. Our graduate student programming connects students to social and professional opportunities in our community. We are proud of the fact that whatever students are interested in, the Cleveland Hillel Foundation has something to offer.
